  • 300 grams all-purpose flour
  • 10 grams baking powder
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 gram salt
  • 115 grams unsalted butter
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 240 ml whole milk

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Step 4
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5
Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated.
Step 6
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Step 7
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
Step 8
Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and cool completely on a wire rack.
