A traditional Filipino spring roll filled with a savory mixture of ground meat and vegetables, perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Directions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, carrot, onion, garlic, cabbage, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 2
Lay out a spring roll wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of filling near one corner. Fold the corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Wet the edge with a little water to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Step 3
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 175°C (350°F). Fry lumpia in batches until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per batch.
Step 4
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
