			Place the finely chopped apples in a slow cooker.

			Mix the sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a bowl.

			Pour the sugar mixture over the apples and mix well.

			Reduce the heat to low and cook for 9-11 hours, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thickened and dark brown.

			Uncover and continue cooking on low for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

			Puree the apple mixture with an immersion blender until smooth.
