Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Steam or blanch the broccoli florets until just tender. Drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chopped onion.

Add the steamed broccoli and 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
