  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 30 grams butter
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 200 grams cheddar cheese
  • 30 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
Step 2
Cut the cauliflower into florets and blanch them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes to form a roux.

Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and thickened. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Step 5
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in half of the grated cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
Step 6
Place the cauliflower florets in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over them, ensuring they are well coated.
Step 7
Sprinkle the remaining grated cheddar cheese on top.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
