  • 25 g all-purpose flour
  • 6 apples
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 pie crust
  • 150 g sugar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
Step 3
Roll out one of the pie crusts and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Trim the edges if necessary.
Step 4
Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
Step 5
Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apple filling. Trim the edges and crimp them together to seal the pie.
Step 6
Cut a few small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
Step 7
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Step 8
Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
