  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 apples
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 115 g butter
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 egg
  • 120 ml milk
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 60 g rolled oats
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In another bowl, beat the butter until creamy, then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Step 4
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Fold in the diced apples.
Step 6
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Step 7
In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the batter.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan before slicing and serving.
