  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2.5 ml black pepper
  • 240 ml breadcrumbs
  • 15 ml brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 900 grams ground beef
  • 60 ml ketchup
  • 120 ml milk
  • 15 ml mustard
  • 1 onion
  • 5 ml salt
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Step 3
Press the meat mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it evenly.
Step 4
In a small bowl, mix the remaining ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F).
Step 6
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
