Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 onion
  • 500 g puff pastry
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 450 g sausage meat

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix together the sausage meat, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Step 3
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
Step 4
Place the sausage mixture down the center of the pastry, shaping it into a long sausage shape.
Step 5
Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the sausage mixture and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
Step 6
Cut the long roll into smaller pieces, about 5 cm each, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 7
Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with a little milk to help them turn a golden brown in the oven.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage meat is cooked through.
