Directions
Step 1
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, and chopped onion over medium heat until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute.

Transfer the meat mixture to a slow cooker.

Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, water, sugar, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and bay leaves.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
